Rubberized Pavement Grant Program
Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery
Summary
The purpose of the grant is to promote markets for Rubberized Asphalt Concrete (RAC) products with crumb rubber derived from only California-generated waste tires to resurface roads using RAC Hot-Mix or Chip Seal applications. The program is designed to encourage first-time users of rubberized pavement. Parking lots and alleys are eligible. However, it is not recommended for these applications due to the resilient nature of the material.
