Summary
The ICJR Program assists Tribal, state, and local governments and courts to strengthen the criminal justice response to domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking by improving offender accountability, victim safety, homicide reduction, protection-order enforcement, and coordinated law enforcement and prosecutorial action. These sorts of activities treat these offenses as serious violations of criminal law and seek safety and autonomy for victims.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are limited to: State governments, Indian Tribal governments, units of local government, state and local courts, state or territorial domestic violence coalitions, state or territorial sexual assault coalitions, Tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions, victim service providers | applicant types: Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); City or township governments; County governments; Special district governments; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized); State governments
